Studio Pilates Classes

These classes are tailored to the individual and have a maximum class size of four participants. Classes are pitched to your level and the instructor works personally with you to address your imbalances, aches, pains and goals.

 

To start off all clients are expected to attend an Initial Assessment where we discuss individual needs and develop a pathway for future sessions. Our class sizes are kept small to ensure attention to detail and constant communication and correction.

 

Our studio is fully equipped with reformers, trapeze table, ladder barrel, small arcs and other useful apparatus.
A variety of equipment will be used depending on suitability.

Spring and Mat Combo

Spring and mat combo classes bring a new level to a pilates mat session. Our fantastic Springboards allow for different spring tensions and are used to strengthen limbs and provide an extra dimension to core stability. We can use the springs to resist and assist your movement giving the classes a large scope of variety, co-ordination and challenge. Standing postural work and functional movement patterns are a large part of these classes.

 

An initial assessment may be required before commencing. If you are interested, please speak to your instructor or call us to discuss.

 

These classes are not suitable for clients who are pregnant, injured or in significant pain.

Corporate Pilates Classes

What we offer:

  • 1 hour Group mat Pilates Classes at your workplace or club. We also offer classes in our fully equipped studio in Fairfield. Maximum 10 participants

We provide:

  • Assessment of an appropriate space in your workplace or Club (if required).
  • Participant forms that are to be completed and returned prior to class commencement
  • All mats are provided
  • Fully qualified teachers who hold current insurance and First Aid qualifications

How can Pilates benefit my workplace?

  • We offer progressive courses that will give your staff a sense of achievement improve posture, core stability in a relaxing environment.
  • Can reduce the incidence of work related injuries especially related to prolonged postures at the computer/desk.
  • Teaching correct technique for bending and lifting in the workplace.

 How can Pilates benefit my Club/team?

  • Pilates can help with conditioning specific for particular sports. Often sports people spend a lot of time practicing the same movements over and over again. Pilates helps to improve core stability but also addresses areas of specific weakness or stiffness that can occur due to repetitive sports.
  • It is useful in reducing sports related injuries due to asymmetries in the body or poor technique.

 How does it work?

  • Classes can be held as a one-off taster for your club/workplace but for optimal results we suggest the 8 or 10 week block.
  • We require all participants to commit to the majority of the classes. Due to the progressive nature of the sessions all participants will need to be present for the first session to get a grasp of the Pilates principles.
  • Participants wear comfortable clothing allowing easy movement and a pair of socks. We also suggest a small towel to place under the head for comfort in particular exercises.
